Casey Jackson Starnes, 45, of Springfield, MO, went to be with God on July 18, 2020. He was born December 5, 1974, in Boulder, CO, to Gary and Nancy.

Casey was a talented musician, artist and chef. He could play many instruments but was especially gifted on the guitar. He enjoyed creating art through many different mediums. Casey was an avid reader and had a deep love of learning. He held a Master's degree in classic languages and was working to complete the dissertation for his PhD. He also excelled in mastering exotic recipes and finding exceptional flavors and seasoning combinations.

He had many adventures and wonderful trips as he loved to travel. He even spent a year teaching in Oman. Casey had many interests, but his love of music stands out the most. Casey was a fan of everything from Beethoven to the Beatles.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ralph Lyon; and grandmother, Sally Starnes.

Casey is survived by his partner, Jaymi Adcock; stepchildren, Trinity and David Wetzel; parents, Gary and Cindy Starnes and Nancy and Tom Francis; grandparents, Norman Starnes and Dorothy Lyon; siblings, William Starnes, Lindsay Terry and husband Steve, April Martinez and husband Mike, Justin Rife and wife Jessica, Jason Rife and wife Tammy, Chad Francis and wife Julie and Candace Jeffries and husband John; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Casey had made many friends near and far through his travels. He will be deeply missed by many.

A celebration of Casey's life will be held at 3 PM, Friday, July 24, 2020, in the Mansion at Elfindale Chapel, 1701 S. Fort Ave, Springfield, MO. Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services.
