Obituary

Wilma Jane Wilkinson was born September 7, 1928 in Seymour, MO and passed away Sunday, June 17, 2018 in Springfield, MO, from a combination of health issues.

Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; parents, John and Wilmetta Lee; brother, Gene "Lefty" Lee, and infant sister, Barbara.

Wilma led a full and active life nearly to the end and was the most proud of her family: daughters, Susan Harrington (Ron), Becky Jolliffe (Jeff); and son, Bill Jr. (Kaia); seven grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Sharon Miller and
Mary Lee; and many nieces and nephews. Many o thers also thought of Wilma as a sister, mom, grandmother, aunt, or friend. To know Wilma was to love her.

Wilma was a woman of strong faith and a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Battlefield. She served God and others through organizations such as St. Luke's Cancer Institute, Habitat for Humanity, and her church. Wilma loved to travel, play bridge, and was a huge sports fan. She loved the Cardinals, Chiefs and especially the Bears and Lady Bears from Missouri State University. Wilma was also a pie maker extraordinaire. She won several ribbons at the Ozark Empire Fair but mostly she just loved bringing joy through her pies to family and friends.

Because of her love for children, memorial contributions may be made to Isabel's House (www.isabelshouse.org).

The family will receive friends beginning at noon Thursday, June 21 at First Baptist Church of Battlefield, 5010 S State Hwy FF, Battlefield, MO, with a memorial service to follow at 1:00 PM. Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services.
