W. L. " Butch" Hope, of Springfield, MO, passed away Monday, November 5, 2018, at the age of 72.

Butch was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Betty Hope; and his daughter, Michele Hope-Hale.

He is survived by his son, Matthew and his wife Christina; grandchildren, Crista, Gina and Ethan, all of Springfield. He is also survived by his three sisters, Betty Layton, Bille Jean Brown and her husband David Brown, Karen Hope and her husband Dick Downey; and Matthew's mother, Wanda Hope, all of Springfield; and Christina's mother, Cathy Mealman, of Nevada MO; and many nieces, nephews, his recent care giver, Destiny Hooker, and a host of friends.

He was a lifelong resident of Springfield MO, he was a Master Plumber for over 50 years. He owned his own plumbing company for many years, All American Plumbing Company.

In addition to his family, and his career, he was an avid hunter. He also enjoyed boating, fishing, and frog gigging. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and big holiday dinners. He was an active member of AA until the time of his death.

Butch has a special friend with him, Warty. Warty passed away on July 11, 2018. Warty will be going with him, Butch is taking Warty, and Matthew is taking over care of Butch's little buddy Monkey. His Min Pins and Tiffy the Maltipoo ruled his house, and filled the days with love!

Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Tuesday, November 13, at Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services, 2026 W Woodland St, Springfield. Funeral services will be held at 10 am, Wednesday, November 14, also Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services with Burial to follow in the Pleasant Hope Cemetery, Pleasant Hope, MO.
