Wendy was a strong woman of faith, who loved church, people and traveling. She loved her time as a CNA, helping all those she served in this role. Wendy never met a stranger during her lifetime and always had a bubbly personality and a smile that lit up a room. She enjoyed laughing until she cried, recycling, painting folk art and entertaining in her home.

Wendy also loved being a mother to her daughter, Julie and wife to her husband, Mario. Wendy traveled the world during her lifetime and enjoyed eight wonderful years in Papua New Guinea with her family before they moved to Springfield, MO in 2002.

Wendy is survived by her husband of 31 years, Mario Daoust; daughter, Julie Daoust and her fiancé, Josh Woodiel. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother.

A celebration of her life will be held Tuesday, October 16, at 5:30 pm. The service will take place at The Downtown Church, located at 413 E. Walnut Street, in Springfield, MO.

In lieu of flowers or a donation to Ozarks Food Harvest, the family will also be starting a college education savings account in honor of Wendy for her future grandchildren. If you would like to make a monetary gift to this account checks may be written out to Julie Daoust.
