Wanda Opal McMillen, 79, of Springfield, MO, passed away October 10, 2021 peacefully in her home. She was born February 3, 1942 in Springfield, MO, to Oscar and Opal Cook.

Wanda was a kind, charismatic, and dynamic woman. She loved her family and friends and was a devoted Christian. She loved making people laugh, watching the St. Louis Cardinals, shopping QVC products, and playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Wanda and her loving husband, Larry McMillen, celebrated 40 years of marriage on July 23rd.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Opal Cook, and her sisters: Vasca, Darlene, Peggy and Georgia. She is survived by her sister, Beverly Vonholt of Willard, MO. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Larry McMillen; her three children: Mark Twigg and wife Kirsten, Jeff Twigg and Christy, and Todd Twigg and wife Mendy; stepchildren: Jason McMillen and wife Mary, Morgan Rogers and husband Jason, Colby McMillen, and Tracy Sullivan; grandchildren: Ashley Twigg, Lexi Messenger and husband Justin, Austin Twigg and wife Barbara, Peyton Twigg, Carson Twigg, Maegan Twigg, Gracie Acker, Chance Kitchen, Anthony Ladas and Kessler Heiney; and great-grandchildren: Kreyton Boley and Oakleigh Messenger.

Private family services will be held at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
