Virginia Dee (Anderson) Warren was born on April 7, 1928, to Samuel and Mary (Purdin) Anderson in Humansville MO. She departed this world on December 24, 2018, at the age of 90 years, 8 months, 17 days at Polk, MO, on the farm where she lived and worked for 67 years.

On September 11, 1949, she was united in marriage to Eldon Warren. To this union three children were born: a son, Rex Eldon, and daughters, Vanetta Dee and Cynthia Lee. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Mary; her husband, Eldon of Polk; a brother, Rolla Anderson; and sister, Sue Garretson both of Humansville; 5 brothers-in-law: L. D. Hale of Polk, Joe Tinsley of Humansville, Paul Steffens of Humansville, Roland Howard of Lee's Summit, and Allen Garretson of Humansville, MO.

She is survived by her three children, Rex and his wife Diane of Polk MO, Vanetta and husband Frank of Willard, MO and Cynthia and husband Bill of Weaubleau MO; 7 grandchildren, Justin Warren, Emily (Warren) McGlone, Sheldon Robertson, Albert Robertson, Travis Robertson, Josh Wood and Amanda (Wood) Lewton; 19 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, 4 sisters, Eugenia Hale, Phyllis Howard, Marcene Steffens and Irene Tinsley; sister-in-law, Delma (Warren) Hembree; sister-in-law Juanita Anderson, a host of nephews, nieces, extended family and many friends.  She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all.

Virginia loved the farm, her garden, her neighbors, her church and most of all her family.  She was a dedicated wife and mother, always putting her family's needs before her own.  She and her husband Eldon owned and operated a sizeable farming operation in Polk, MO. She loved working alongside of him, working the land and making a living and life for her family off of it. They would often purchase other places and work to bring them back to profitable status. In their life together she would often work in the fields or with the cattle until late morning, quit and go fix lunch for all the farm hands, then return to work the rest of the afternoon until time to milk, then start over at 4 am the next day.

Virginia joined the Rachel Donelson Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in 1985 and moved her membership to Matilda Polk Campbell Chapter in Bolivar in 2001.

As a child, Virginia and her family attended the United Methodist Church in Humansville, Mo. Virginia began attending Bolivar United Methodist Church in Bolivar MO in 1948 and was a faithful member until her passing.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 PM, Monday December 31, 2018, in the Bolivar United Methodist Church.
