Virgil L. Vandergrift, 74, of Bois D Arc passed away Saturday, February 1 at Mercy Hospital with his family by his side. Virgil was born November 3, 1939 to Leroy and Mildred Vandergrift. He retired from Crescent Feed. He was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne; son, Tony and wife Anita, of Knoxville, TN.; daughter, Pam Smith and husband Curtis, of Springfield; his mother, Mildred Vandergrift of Springfield; one grandson; brothers, Wayne and wife Dolores and Gary and wife Connie; sister, Vivian and husband Jim; and nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of family and friends. Virgil loved God, his family and friends. He loved to sing at church and attended Full Gospel Fellowship Church, in Galloway, Mo, faithfully. He was witty, loved to talk and fish. He never met a stranger. He was a loving and giving person and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be from 2-3 PM, with services starting at 3 PM, Saturday, February 8, 2014, in Believer's Fellowship Church, 2961 E Republic Rd., Springfield, MO. (The church is in little town of Galloway). Cremation arrangements have been entrusted Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services, Springfield.
