Viretta Imogene McCoy, 78, of Rogersville, MO, passed away January 27, 2017.

She was born in Bado, Missouri, April 20, 1938, to Harlan and Laura Armstrong. She was the wife of Don McCoy and they shared 61 years of marriage together.

She loved to cook and bake for family and friends. She also enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, and reading the bible. She will be remembered for her loving nature and beautiful soul.

Viretta is survived by her husband, Don; daughter, LaDawn Herley (Gary); son, Doug McCoy (Vickey); brothers, Lon Armstrong (Darlene), Gil Armstrong (Sue); sister, Teresa Laughridge (Mike); granddaughters, Amber, Jessica, and Laura; grandson, Schyler; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Naomi Densel.

A memorial service will be held at a later time. The family requests expressions of sympathy be made in her honor to ST JUDE'S Children Research Hospital.
