Verna Claudine Manning, 81, of Wheatland, MO, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2022. She was born February 12, 1941, in Jackson County, MO to Erma (Kennedy) Lee and Claud R Lee.

Verna married Walter Manning on July 6th, 1957, and lived in Corder, MO until they retired to their residence in Wheatland, MO. They had 3 children; 2 sons, Tracy Manning and Walter (Artie) Manning and 1 daughter, Sandra (Sandy) Manning-Manley. She loved watching racing especially her son Tracy when he was racing. She loved her family and her church family deeply.

She is preceded in death by her son, Walter (Artie) Manning; her mother, Erma (Kennedy) Manning; and her father, Claud R Lee.

She is survived by her husband, Walter of the home; her son, Tracy (Shirley) Manning of Wheatland, MO; her daughter, Sandy (Lester) Manning-Manley of Wheatland, MO; her grandchildren, Christy Manning of Higginsville, MO, Stacy Manning of Higginsville, MO, Jarvis (Heather) Manning of Blue Eye, MO, Phillip (Becky) Goring of Wheatland, MO and John Goring of Bates City, MO. She has 14 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.
