Obituary

Truman Richard Swann, 93, of Willard, MO passed away Thursday, May 8, 2025. He was born March 6, 1932, to Earnest and Gertrude Swann in Oklahoma City, OK.

He attended Oklahoma schools after which he joined the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1953 and served his country in Korea. Truman met Mary Moore McCance and the two married in 1955 in Grand Junction, CO. Their three sons were born there. The family moved to Missouri in 1959 where he operated Swann Heating and worked for Wickes. Later he became a home builder and retired from insurance in 1996 to farm. He belonged to Willard First Baptist Church and at one time served as the President of Southern Missouri Woodcarvers.

Truman was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Swann; his parents; his brother, Winfred; his sister, Sharron Phillips; and a granddaughter, Lindsey Pineda.

He is survived by his sons, Steven (Diane), Curtis (Mary Eva), Bradley (Christine); his grandchildren, Jordanna (Kris) Smak, Katherine Roberds, Alan, Kristopher and Katrina Swann; great grandchildren, Ember Roberds, Joycelynn Pineda Swann, and Lindsey Smak; and four nieces and their families.

Services were held in White Chapel Memorial Gardens with Military Honors.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services.
