Truman Neff Isbell Jr., 77, of Ozark, MO passed away Sunday, April 20, 2025. He was born January 19, 1948, to Truman and Dorothy Isbell in San Gabriel, CA.
Truman had a beautiful smile and loved talking to everyone. Two qualities that helped charm his way into the heart of Mary Sue Oliver. They were married July 26, 1969, and were together for over 56 years. In 1973, he was Baptized at Calvary Chapel in Pirates Cove, Newport, CA by Pastor Chuck Smith. He was a proud Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era. Once home from serving his country he was employed as an over the road truck driver for 47 years. During this time, he drove for CTI and Milky Way out of Missouri and Ringsby and B & G Trucking out of California.
In his early years, Truman enjoyed coaching Little League Baseball. Later on, he found joy in rebuilding antique cars, metal work and playing Skip Bo with his family. He loved his family dearly and was loved by them in returned.
He was preceded in death by his father, Truman Neff Isbell Sr; mother, Dorothy May (Olsen) Isbell; brother, Raymond Isbell; and sisters, Lori Valenti, Trudy Reyes, Peggy Archuleta, Joyce Weitzel and Lorraine Overstreet.
Truman is survived by his wife, Mary Sue (Oliver) Isbell; children, Truman Neff Isbell, III and wife Marti of Ozark, MO, Rebecca Lynne Hunt and husband Dennis of Nixa, MO, and Barbara Jean-Lloyd Smith of South Carolina; grandchildren, Joshua Neff Isbell and wife Madison of Ozark, MO and Hannah Nicole Potter and husband Taylor of Springfield, MO; great grandchildren, Collins Joy Isbell and Beckham Neff Isbell; and his sisters, Dione Corral of Yorba Linda, CA and Debbie Isbell of Santee, CA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals at CoxHealth or American Truck Historical Society.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, MO.
