Troy Freeman, 65, a lifelong resident of Springfield, MO passed away Sunday, February 22, 2026. He was born April 27, 1960, to Leroy and Ellafaye Freeman.

Troy was a great father, grandfather, and an amazing husband. He was a great fisherman (in his own mind LOL), hardworking, funny, goofy, and so loving. He loved to go fishing, camping, to Silver Dollar City, and of course to the casino (even though it never worked out). Even while he was battling cancer, he still found ways to make his loved ones smile and laugh. We know he will be watching over us while casting out that eternal line.

He is survived by the love of his life, Tina Freeman; his sons, William, Bobby, and Greg; his amazing grandkids, Isaac, Lucas, Peytton, Rowan, Xander, and Ava.

As he walks to the gates of Heaven, he surely will be missed but not forgotten.

2 Timothy 4:7 "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful."

The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
