Obituary

Tressie Lateaca Ann (Emerson) Keltner passed away in Springfield, MO on May 24, 2020. She was 36 years old. She was born on July 28, 1983, in Springfield, MO, to David and Vera Emerson.

Tressie Lateaca had to start fighting the battles of life as a small child but because of those battles she learned to be strong and fearless. She attended Reed Middle School and Hillcrest High School, she was smart, an all-around athlete and cheerleader. Her smile and laughter were a symbol of all that she had overcome in her young life. Tressie Lateaca was strong-minded and never backed down from what she believed was right.

Scott and Tressie Lateaca started dating in 1996. He was 11 and she was 13. They were the real definition of childhood sweethearts. Both of her parents had passed away and Scott's parents took her in and looked after her. They were married 14 years later on February 27, 2010. She spent her life as a stay at home mom to their four boys. She loved being involved in school life and enjoyed watching them play basketball. She was so proud and was truly their #1 fan.

Tressie Lateaca will be missed by so many, especially for her smile, big heart and strong personality. She left this world before we were ready to say goodbye.

Tressie was preceded in death by her grandparents, her parents, sister, Lisa Collins; and; brother, Jason (Jay) Emerson.

She is survived by her husband, Scott Keltner; and their four sons, Anthony, Jacob, Drew, and Jason Keltner; five brothers, Freddy and Tommy Collins, Jon and Justin Emerson and Aaron Keltner; one sister, Melissa Massey; mother and father-in-law, Patty and Tony Keltner; along with several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
