IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Tonya Lynn
Roehrich
August 28, 1960 – September 19, 2023
Tonya Lynn Roehrich, age 63, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on September 19, 2023. She was born on August 28, 1960, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Tonya was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, always putting her children and grandchildren first.
Tonya is survived by her spouse of 23 years, Patrick Roehrich; her brother, Darrin Bell; her daughters, Angie Ceron and her husband Jason and Ashley Smith; her son, Kyle Smith and his wife Hannah; her granddaughters, Brenna Ceron, Charlie and Hayden Smith; her grandsons, Eli and Oliver Ceron, and Maddox Miller, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Patsy Bell, her brother, Howard Bell Jr and her granddaughter, Parker Ceron.
Tonya worked at various places throughout her career, always involving helping people, whether it was in the medical field or customer service. However, her favorite job was babysitting her grandchildren, where she truly shined as "Mimi."
Tonya was a member of the Parkview Lassies Drum and Bugle Corps in the 1970's, playing the snare drum and twirling. She formed a special bond with her oldest granddaughter when she joined the Central High School Kilties. Tonya loved attending activities that involved her grandchildren, such as sports, parades, plays, and performances. She also enjoyed reading and spent time with her daughters in a true crime book club. Tonya was a devoted fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and celebrated their two Super Bowl wins with great joy.
Tonya was excited for her retirement so she could travel more with her husband, Pat, whom she liked to refer to as "Pooky".
Tonya often said the same words and phrases to her family each day. We want to share those with everyone so that anytime they're said or heard, they'll bring a smile to your face with memories of Ton. So, until we meet again: "Bull!", "Keep on.", and "Be careful, love you, bye.".
Viewing for Tonya will be held at Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services located at 2026 W Woodland St, Springfield, MO 65807 on Thursday September 28th from 4pm to 6pm, with the Central High School Kilties closing out the viewing at 5:45pm. Following her viewing, a celebration of life will be at Belamour located at 4462 W Farm Rd 94, Springfield, MO 65803 where we will recreate a Super Bowl party for the Chiefs. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Central High School Kilties Drum and Bugle Corps (please contact Central High School to make a donation over the phone or mail checks to Central High School Kilties) and The ALS Association (donate.als.org)
We extend our deepest condolences to Tonya's family and friends during this difficult time. The funeral home, Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services in Springfield, Missouri, is assisting with the arrangements.
