Marilyn Toni Palmer joined her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 22, 2021, after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born April 28, 1954 to Byron and Doris McCall in St. Louis, MO.

Toni was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who was always smiling and living life to its fullest. Her positive attitude and strength through adversity were truly apparent. She enjoyed hiking, going to the beach, reading books, quilting, and spending time with her loved ones.

Toni was a school teacher for over 40 years, working with elementary, high school, and special needs children. She was also an active church member, served on mission trips, and volunteered in food pantries and with Newborns in Need.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ken; sister, Nita; and father, Byron.

Toni is survived by her sons Alexander Palmer with his wife Joanna, and Samuel Palmer; granddaughters, Juliet, Eleanor, Vivian and Lydia; mother, Doris McCall; brothers, Neil McCall with his wife Carol, and Brian McCall with his wife Cynthia; sister-in-law, Dalana Wilson with her husband Bill; as well as her nieces, nephews, and an abundance of friends.

A celebration of Toni's life will take place at 10 AM, Saturday, July 24 at Schweitzer United Methodist Church, 2747 E. Sunshine St., Springfield, with a reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Schweitzer Food Pantry or Newborns in Need.
