Tonett Hubbard was born September 9, 1964, in Webb, MS, to the late Annie Hubbard and Willie Pickett. Tonett grew up in Chicago, IL, then eventually settled in Springfield, MO, where she did domestic work for most of her life. She loved to cook for family gatherings and care for children. Spending time with her family made her the happiest. Tonett was called home on July 3, 2014, at 9:23 am, in the home of her sister, Tammy Hubbard. She was preceded in death by her mother, Annie Hubbard; and her brother, Carl Hubbard. Tonett leaves to cherish her memory, her father, Willie (Earlene) Pickett; aunt, Linnie B. Hubbard of Lambert, MS; four sisters, Charlene and Tammy Hubbard of Springfield, MO and Vanessa Heard and Audry Pickett of Tutwiler, MS; 7 brothers, Larry Hubbard of Republic, MO, James, Jerry, and Donnell Hubbard of Springfield, MO, Bobby Gaston, Leatrice Pickett, and Willie Pickett Jr. of Orlando, Fl; a special friend, Fredrick Gooden of Springfield, MO; one brother-in-law; six sisters-in-law; and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends who will miss her greatly. For I am ready to be offered, and time for my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith; henceforth there is laided up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day; and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing 2 Timothy 4;6-8 Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, July 13, 2014, at the New Growth Ministries, 1351 N Marion, Springfield, MO, 65802.
