IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Tommy
Baker
July 13, 1964 – September 15, 2024
Willie Thomas Baker, known affectionately as Tommy, Frog, or Tommy Boy, passed away on September 15, 2024, at his home in Springfield, MO, (with his wife Debbie at his side) at the age of 60. Born on July 13, 1964, in Springfield, MO, he was an amazing man who touched many lives with his kind, loving, and big-hearted nature.
Tommy graduated from Hillcrest High School and spent many years contributing to the local workforce. He was a dedicated material handler at Tuthill and previously a lead man at Springfield Underground, roles that highlighted his strong work ethic and leadership skills.
A man of faith, Tommy was a member of the Promise Point Baptist Church in Charity, MO.
Outside of work he was an avid bass fisherman and enjoyed riding motorcycles. His love for cars and trucks of all kinds kept him busy and often served as a conversation starter with friends and family.
Tommy is survived by his wife, Debbie Baker; brothers, Glen and Jimmie Baker; sisters, Linda Fear and Brenda Stewart; sons, Corey Lowry, Joel, and Cory Baker; and his nine cherished grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lenora Batey; father, Willie Fenton Baker; brother, Gene Baker; and sister, Bobbie Mae Carter.
In lieu of flowers, donations to cover medical expenses would honor Tommy's memory and provide support to his family during this difficult time. His legacy of kindness and passion will be remembered by all who knew him.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, MO.
