Obituary

Timothy Shaun Breedlove, MD, 53, passed away Thursday, Oct. 29, 2020, in Springfield, MO.

Tim was born June 7, 1967, to Jack L. Breedlove and Mary "Jackie" J. Breedlove (McBride) of Springfield. He is survived by his four children, Jessica Alys Breedlove of Kansas City, Mo., and Timothy Jack (TJ) Breedlove, Sarah Michelle Breedlove, and Shaun Michael Breedlove, and their mother, Angie Breedlove, all of Salina, Ks.; his sister, Jacqué Breedlove-Harness; brother, Michael Hunt and his wife Rebecca of Cape Fair, Mo.; and brother, Steve Breedlove and his wife Donna of Broken Arrow, Ok., as well as many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, James Hunt of Pleasant Hope, Mo., and his sister, Denise Breedlove of Springfield.

He graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1985 and then joined the U.S. Navy and graduated in the top of his class from Nuclear Engineer school. He served on an underwater nuclear submarine and was proud to wear his Navy Veteran hat everywhere he went until the day he passed.  Upon completion of his service to our country, he returned home and became a ballroom dance instructor at the studio where he and Angie met and taught together. Tim then furthered his education and received his BS from Missouri State University and then graduated Summa Cum Laude from Saint Louis School of Medicine with his Doctorate of Medicine in 1999. He spent his 16-year career in family practice and emergency room medicine saving lives and making a difference in this world.

Tim was a brilliant, compassionate and loving son, father, brother and friend. His memory and legacy will continue to live through all of us who love him, through the countless lives he saved as a doctor, the stories he shared that will be passed on for generations, and through his faithful devotion to God. The three things that were most important to TIm were God, Family, and Country.
