Timothy Booher, 72, of Rogersville Missouri passed on from this life to be with the Lord on August 28th, 2024, after a brave 2-year battle with cancer.

Tim was born in Springfield, MO on September 30th, 1951, to Fred and Adeline Booher (née Lucas).  After graduating from Parkview High School in 1969, he served his country by enlisting in the United States Air Force where he was primarily stationed in Okinawa.

After an honorable discharge from the Airforce, Tim returned home to the Ozarks where he met and married Cathy Booher (née Cox) in May of 1976.  They went on to have one child, Mary, in 1979 and remained happily married for 48 years until Tim's passing.

Tim was active in church, and for many years led the song service at Henderson Baptist.  He also gave his Saturdays to church building and grounds upkeep.  Tim enjoyed woodwork, antiques and furniture refinishing.  He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and could always tell you where they were in the Division standings, even when they were playing poorly.

Tim retired from full-time work at Springfield Public Schools in 2022.  His real passion, though, was for his roles as husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.  All the grandchildren called him Papaw and they adored him. He never missed an opportunity to play and spend quality time with each of them, even through his illness. Tim passed down to these children his qualities of kindness, generosity, good humor and a gentle spirit.

Tim was preceded in death by his mother, Adeline; father, Fred; and brothers, Phillip, Tom and Chris.  He is survived by his wife, Cathy; brother, Roger Booher; sister, Enid Beard; brother-in-law, Randy Beard; daughter, Mary Paulson; son-in-law, Dave Paulson; grandchildren, Paige, David, Eve and Ava Paulson; great-grandchildren, Lilah and Zoey; and many nieces and nephews.

Services have been postponed for now. Will be rescheduled.
