Thomas "Tom" Allen Liggett Sr., 60, of Springfield, MO passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023.

He was born August 30, 1962, to Edward and JoAnn (Foster) Wood in Monticello, IA.

Tom attended school in Cedar Rapids, IA. He married Miki (Jobe) Liggett in 1990 and they divorced in 2002. Tom worked as a truck driver, HVAC technician trainee, and in an assortment of other roles. He had a strong work ethic and was always willing to try something new. He enjoyed fishing and was a Kansas City Chiefs fan.

Tom was preceded in death by birth father, Edward Wood; Dad, William Liggett Jr.; Mom, JoAnn Liggett; and Grandmother, Alma Walton.  He is survived by his two children, Jan Liggett and Alex Ruby Liggett; sister, Angie (Ron) Provencher; brother, William Liggett III; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Private services for the family will be held at a later date. The family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, MO.
