Thomas G. Fischer, 58 of Highlandville, MO, passed away peacefully on the morning of
Wednesday, July 19th, after a long illness.
He was preceded in death by his father, George W. Fischer
and mother, Margaret "Mitzie" (nee Wagner) Fischer.
Thomas is survived by his sister, Anita (Bill) Hudson of
Davenport, IA, nieces, Erika (Sean) List, of Davenport, IA, Allison (Jeffrey) Thompson, of NYC,
NY, and Erin (Seth) Campbell, of Bettendorf, IA, and nephew, Michael (Katie) Niksich, of
Davenport, IA. and numerous great nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Tom will be held on Friday, July 21st, at Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services,
2026 W. Woodland St., Springfield, MO, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Tom Fischer was born on May 21st, 1959, in Springfield, IL and lived most of his life in Whiting,
IN. He spent a long career working in maintenance at Bishop Noll Institute in Hammond, IN,
eventually becoming a maintenance supervisor. He retired in 2014 and moved to Highlandville,
MO, where he bought his "dream home" and enjoyed pursuing his hobbies of photography,
vintage computers, and being a great handyman in his home workshop. Tom will be missed by a
ll who knew and loved him.
