Terry Lee Mock was a gentle husband, father and Papa that loved deeply, but quietly. He left this earthly world May 1, 2022, at age 71 after a four-year journey with Parkinson's. Although his body gave out earlier than we would wish, he never once complained of his difficulties.

He was born July 11, 1950, and was adoringly adopted by Martha and Robert Mock, whom he cherished tremendously. Growing up on a houseboat instilled the first love of his life, fishing. He was a competitive bass fisherman and an avid softball player where he met the devoted love of his life, Betty (Ruzicka) Mock. Once daughters Briana and Kailey arrived, he gave up his fishing and softball to be the most supportive sports dad. Wherever his girls were playing, he was there with his clipboard keeping stats. A lifetime bond was formed by many who were blessed to call him Coach. Terry was a hardworking husband and father doing whatever was needed of him around the house: cooking, dishes, laundry, mowing and the list goes on. As long as a snake wasn't involved, he was good to go. He loved gardening, making fishing lures and spending time in his man cave when he needed a break from an all-woman household, even his fur baby Addie! His grandkids, Conner, Braelyn, Addyson and Henry, were the twinkle in his eye and he was looking forward to welcoming another granddaughter soon.

Terry's beloved wife of 41 years was his Jekyll and Hyde caregiver allowing him to remain in the comfort of his own home up until his final breath. Their marriage was a true reflection of God's love and absolutely beautiful to witness. He leaves a tremendous hole in our family, but the love we carry in our hearts will endure.

His life will be celebrated Sunday, June 12, 2022, at the Lake Springfield Boathouse from 1-3 pm with casual attire.  Any donations are requested to be made to The National Fish Partnership in Terry Mock's name at www.fishhabitat.org .
