Obituary

Terry Dean Buffalow, 68, of Morrisville, MO passed away in his sleep on Friday, May 30, 2025, at home, with his wife by his side. He was born on January 29, 1957, to Richard and Ellen "Jeannie" Buffalow in Key West, FL.

Terry grew up and attended school in Camdenton, MO. After high school he joined the military and became a US Army Ranger & Squad leader with the 2nd Platoon-Company B-1st Battalion-5th Infantry Regiment-25th Infantry Division. He also worked as a Chef at Brown's Palace in Denver, CO., and at Lodge of the Four Seasons and Tan-Tara at Lake of the Ozarks. But his true calling was being a National Registry Paramedic and EMS Instructor. He was also a Licensed POST Instructor, Fire Instructor and Fire Investigator. He served in EMS for 39 years, including owning his own EMT training entity with his wife. His firefighter career began in 1971 with the Missouri Conservation Commission, and he served with Walnut Grove and Aurora City Fire Departments in Missouri. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved camping, backpacking, rafting, fishing, and mountain climbing with his family and friends. He loved music and played harmonicas, guitar and ukulele. More than anything, he loved his family and God.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard D. Buffalow and his nephew, James Richardson.

Terry is survived by his wife, Amy of Morrisville, daughters: Terryn Buffalow (Tyler Williams) of Bois D' Arc, Amber Peters (Nate Peters) of Republic, Stepchildren: Christopher Stockton (Amanda Laing) of Lake Ozark, Casey Cypret (Anthony Cypret) of Cassville. Mother: Ellen Jeanne Buffalow of Bolivar. Two brothers: Larry Buffalow (Nancy & 3 nieces) of New Mexico, Ronnie Buffalow (Marsha Grissom & 1 nephew) of Morrisville. Two sisters: Jolynn Hampton (Terry, 2 nieces, 1 nephew) of Bolivar, YoVonne Buffalow (Scott Kaczorowski) of Colorado. 14 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren (4th due in January 2026), many extended family members and friends.
