Obituary

Tamica Lashelle Myers born June 28,1978, in San Antonio, TX to Melvin and Verdell Myers. We all had the pleasure of knowing Tamica for 43 years. She joined the Heavenly earth March 22, 2022. To be with her loved ones that preceded before her. Carl Shaw, husband; Verdell Myers, mother; Dorothy Wood, grandmother; Leon Taylor, uncle; and Melonie Myers, sister. Tamica was a wonderful mother to her 19-year-old daughter, Melhoney Shaw, who she loves more than life itself. They had a special bond that can never be broken, even in death. Melhoney, no matter what, your mother will always be with you. But Tamica was not only a mother, but also an aunt, aka auntie or her latest, aunie. She had a special bond with her nieces and nephews. The laughter and good times they shared was like no other. She was for surely one of a kind. And the life of these kid's party. If they weren't singing, they were cooking or just talking for hours. They truly loved their aunty. Tamica left behind 9 nieces and nephews Maya, Kwentin, Mechie, Treavon, Meleah, Kymani, Devin, Rydell. Everyone who knows Tamica knew she was a diehard Cowboys fan. You knew not to call during the game, because most likely she wouldn't answer. And if you knew Tamica, you knew she was the baby of the family and quite proud of it. She had a way of getting each and every one of us to do whatever she wanted. Tamica developed this gift at a very young age. It simply started with cleaning our room we shared as children while she slept, just to wake up an hour later only to destroy it. To myself and my brothers cleaning her house. But we would do it because we loved our baby sister. Not to mention she was very persuasive. She had this unbelievable light about her that just shined through. We all truly loved our baby sister. I can only pray her light shines through all of us. Even though Tamica was the baby, she often held our family together. Our baby sister grew up to be one of the strongest women I knew. I only wish I can be as strong as she was. Tamica left behind two brothers Anthony Alford and Melvin Myers Jr and me Theresa Mwiula. Not only was she my sister, but she was my best friend, and we will truly miss our baby sister and that beautiful light that shined through her. Even in her darkest hour she could still make you laugh. Tamica was truly a beautiful person inside and outside. And was a true friend to those who knew her. Rest in peace baby sister. You will be truly missed. Give mom a kiss for us.
