Obituary

Tami Lynn Freeman, 58, of Brawley CA, residing in Springfield, MO, passed away April 13, 2021. She was born March 30, 1963, in Brawley, CA, to David and Glenna Freeman. She was a two-time cancer survivor and was known by all she loved for her strong fighting spirit. She will be remembered most for her sense of humor and compassion for others in need.
Her personality was large and her laugh would fill a room. She loved to have fun with her family and friends. Tami was quick to share a story or tell a joke. She worked as a nurse, Recovery Counselor, and minister. According to her memoirs, she prided herself in her kids, her grandkids, in becoming an ordained minister, and the New Creation's women's home and, the House of Hope, both were ministries she founded, helping countless women onto the road of recovery.   She loved swimming, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, being outdoors, painting, and playing games with friends and family (especially Go Fish with her grandkids!) She was a James Bond enthusiast, especially Sean Connery's version, and was an avid fan of Classic hard rock, especially the band Led Zeppelin and their song Stairway to Heaven.
She was preceded in death by her father, David Leon Freeman; and mother, Glenna Dolores Beets-Lopez.
Tami is survived by her children, Ashley Goodspeed and Glenn Cardenas; brother, Darrin Freeman and family; and her grandchildren, Emily Ambrae Goodspeed, Rollins David Goodspeed, Ian James Goodspeed, and Milo David Cardenas.
