Susan M Simmons (Robinson), 58, of Fair Play, MO, left this life September 19, 2023. She was born February 26, 1965, by mother, Lina June Robinson (Davis) and father, Abbie "Spec" Robinson Jr.

She attended her schooling in Ash Grove, with her highest level of education being 11th grade. The time she was in school she was a part of the Special Olympics track and field team. The next few years following school she stayed home to care for her mother and father who were in poor health. She married and had 2 of her 4 children and they are Todd and Lina Johnston. Some years later, Susan had remarried and had her other two children, Max and Richard Dunkle.

Susan expected highly of her four children when it came to academics. Some of her proudest moments were seeing all four of her children graduate from high school and seeing her son Max Dunkle decide to continue his education and attend Drury Universities Law Enforcement Academy. Susan had many different jobs throughout her life, and all involved some form of care in a nursing home. Susan's most current job was being a lead cook in the kitchen at Northwood Hills Care Center in Humansville, MO for the past 10 year.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lina June Robinson (1984); her father, Abbie Robinson Jr (1990); husband, Leslie Allen Dunkle; husband, John Simmons.

Susan is survived by her son, Todd Allen Johnston and his significant other, Jessica; her grandchildren, Mathew Allen and Abbie May; her daughter, Lina May Johnston and her significant other, Nathan Wallen; her grandson, Chad Ray; her son, Max Austin Dunkle and his wife, Cheyenne; her grandpups, Tucker, Gus, and Selda; and her son, Richard Wesley Dunkle and his girlfriend, Bree Mitchell.
