IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sue Wynness
Heper
August 27, 1940 – August 5, 2022
Sue Wynness Heper (née Vincent), 81, of Arnold, MO, passed away in Springfield, MO, on Friday, August 5, 2022. She was born August 27, 1940, to George and Wynness Vincent in St. Louis, MO.
Sue was born and lived most of her life near St. Louis, MO. She married Robert Heper shortly after high school and they raised their two children. Sue and Bob started a drapery company, G&W Customs with her parents George and Wynness Vincent. The business was a success from the start and Sue delighted in the opportunity to meet new and interesting clients. Sue's creativity flourished through the business as she designed custom window treatments for her customers. The business also allowed Sue to spend time with her children Dennis and Robyn and her daughter-in-law Kathy. After retirement, Sue spent much of her time and energy doting on her grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as close family friends and neighbors.
Sue, along with husband Bob, truly enjoyed the opportunity to travel. The wall maps of her travels, both domestic and abroad, were a source of pride. Everyone who visited the Heper household was treated to a map viewing and at least one accompanying story.
Entertaining was another of Sue's passions. She was never happier than when she was surrounded by friends and family. Such gatherings were always accompanied by an endless array of food which she would tirelessly prepare in the days before an event.
Sue's heart for others was evident. Family and friends in need knew they could count on Sue for food, friendship, love, or anything else they needed. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert Gary Heper, brother Michael Vincent, sister-in-law Kathy Heper, and niece Sheri Sutton Campbell.
Sue is survived by sister Carol Orr and her husband Bob Orr of St. Louis, MO, brother-in-law Jim Heper of St. Louis, MO, son Robert Dennis Heper and his wife Kathy Heper of High Ridge, MO, daughter Robyn Wendy Holland and her husband Kenneth Jason Holland of Springfield, MO, grandchildren Ashley Henson and her husband Terry Henson, Curtis Heper, Kaitlyn Holland and Kiele Holland, great grandchildren Kendall Henson and Reed Henson, niece Christine Orr, nephews Bob Sutton, and David Orr and his wife Renee Orr, and nephew-in-law Paul Campbell.
