Obituary

Sue Frazier, 87, was born Cleda Sue Farmer on June 12, 1930, to William and Beatrice Farmer in Mendenhall, Mississippi. She went to be with the Lord on March 23, 2018, at Sonshine Manor in Republic, MO.

Sue grew up in Springhill, Louisiana, where she met and married Robert (Bob) Frazier on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 1952. They welcomed their only child, Christie in September of the next year.

Sue was a homemaker until August 1958, when she started her career at Palm Beach Junior College in Lake Worth, Florida, as secretary to the Registrar. She was Admissions Specialist when she retired in 1992.

Sue was a very outgoing and friendly person. She was very 'crafty' and usually had some kind of needlework project going: cross-stitch, needlepoint, sewing. She also enjoyed crossword and other word puzzles. She and Bob liked to participate in archery target competitions, and they also bowled many years on a church league. They enjoyed traveling, and went on several river raft trips through the Grand Canyon and also in Alaska and the Yukon Territory. They also visited Scotland and Sue also got to visit Ireland. They enjoyed fishing vacations, where they would go to different lakes around the country, trying to find one they would settle on for retirement.

They decided on Table Rock Lake and had a house built in Kimberling City, and moved there in 1993.

Bob and Sue were always active in church. Sue sang in the choir and was active in women's ministries.

Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; her parents; her brothers, Mahlon and William; and her sister, Claudia.

She is survived by her daughter, Chris Cooper and husband, Rick of Springfield; two granddaughters, Katie Lane and husband, David, of Kissimmee, FL, and Kelly McKenzie and husband Kareem of Clovis, NM; six great-grandchildren, David, Jr. and Daryl Lane, and Isaac, Caleb, Naomi and Eden McKenzie; one great-great grandson, Luke Lane; two brothers, Don Farmer and Sid Farmer; sister-in-law, Karen Munson Elliott; and many nieces and nephews.

Inurnment will be held in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield with Bob. Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services, Springfield.
