On February 20, 2026, Steven B. Roberts of Springfield, Missouri passed away peacefully at the age of 76 years. He dedicated his life to serve in the community and ministry. Steve served in the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Ordnanceman Airman and received a National Defense Service medal. He earned his Bachelor of General Studies degree with emphasis in the History of Scientific Ideas, Math, Physics, and Space Sciences from the University of Texas at Dallas.

Steve follows his mother, Nelle Roberts and father, Cecil Clarence Roberts, and his brother, Kenneth Roberts in death. He is survived by his wife, Sheila Roberts, stepdaughter, Kim Neal, stepson, Rob Freeman, daughter-in-law, Emily Freeman, grandchildren, Cassidy Steward, Bailey Banks, Josh Steward, and Parker Banks, two great-grandchildren, Steve's brother, Cecil (Sandy) Roberts, sister-in-law, Yolanda Roberts, nieces, Jessica Roberts and Lindsey Roberts, nephews, Christopher Navarro and John Paul Roberts, and son-in-law Chris Bryan.

Steve loved the Lord and served as Deacon at Eastern Hills Baptist Church, Garland, Texas. He is a member of Second Baptist Church, Springfield, Missouri. Steve worked at Union Gospel Missions in Dallas, Texas. He loved his computers, astronomy, and his duct tape. Steve spent hours in his studies of the bible.
