Steven Ray Fry, 72, of Highlandville, MO, passed away in his home on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. from a long illness. He was born on October 29, 1953, to William and Ruth Fry in Mt. Carmel, IL.

Steve is a survived by his wife of 43 years, Sharon L. Fry; and beloved son, Josh A. Fry both of Highlandville, MO; his brothers, Ron Fry and wife Eva of Kimberling City, MO, and Larry Fry and wife Julia of Clever, MO; a lot of nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a lot of close friends that were very dear to him. He never met anybody that wasn't a good friend.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Ruth (Taylor) Fry; and his youngest brother, David Fry.

Steve worked at Edmonds Dental Prosthetics for over 25 years, and he owned his own lawn care business. In his free time, he liked to hunt and fish. Steve enjoyed being outdoors and appreciated the beauty of nature and the animals around him. He had a great sense of humor and you could always count on him to be ready with a joke. Steve deeply loved his family and was dearly loved in return. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.

A Visitation will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 AM, on Friday, May 22, 2026, at Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services, 2026 W Woodland St, Springfield. Graveside services will follow at 12:00 PM, at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, 5234 W State Hwy EE, Springfield, MO.
