William Steven "Steve" Denney, 67, of Springfield, MO passed away from this life to his eternal home on Monday, December 1, 2025.

Steve was born March 5, 1958, to William (Bill) and June Denney.

Steve was employed as a welder and retired from Loren Cook.  After retirement he enjoyed his hobby of wood carving and the outdoors. He was an active member of the Ozarks Whittlers and Woodcarvers and enjoyed the fellowship with all the members.

He was preceded in death by his father; paternal grandparents, Ray and Hazel Denney; maternal grandparents, Albert (Jack) and Ruby Richardson; and a nephew, Tyler Denney.

Steve is survived by his wife of 46 years, Melissa (Pendergrass) Denney; his mother; a brother, Brian (Sonya) Denney; 3 sisters, Martha Johnson, Emily (Doug) Folger, and Beth Denney.  Other survivors include numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and many cherished family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to St. Croix Hospice or to The Venues Church for the building fund would be appreciated.

Visitation will be held on December 12, 2025, from 2-4pm at Midwest Cremation & Funeral Services.
