Chief Petty Officer Stephen Lewis Roschevitz, 71, of Springfield, MO, passed away on the evening of February 12, 2015, following a prolonged illness. He was the second of eight children born to Edward Roschevitz and Audrey Gundel Roschevitz. Stephen honorably served in the United States Navy for 24 years, including two combat tours in Vietnam. Following his military service, Stephen's favorite pastimes were fishing and working on cars. He also enjoyed traveling the American countryside. Stephen is survived by his children, Charlene Roschevitz of Oakland, CA; Jason L Roschevitz of San Diego, CA; four sisters, JoAnn Giurato of Stockton, CA; Kathy Bell of Bella Vista, AR; Shirley Roschevitz of Stockton, CA; Linda Sanders of Stark City, MO; one brother, Clifford Roschevitz of Stella, MO; one grandchild, Christina Rolley; and many other special nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly. Stephen was preceded in death by two brothers, Lee Roschevitz (1941-2001) and John Roschevitz (1951-2010). Graveside services will be held at 11 AM, Friday, February 20, 2015, in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Springfield.
