Stella Maxine Shafer, age 92, of Galena, MO, passed away in her home on October 10, 2016.

She was born in Brighton, MO. She worked as a sales clerk at Sears in El Monte, CA, until she retired and moved to Galena. Here she worked in the deli at the Country Mart grocery store in Branson West. She has also been a member of the Cedar Ridge Baptist Church for 26 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister; two brothers; her husband, Donald Shafer, and one son.

She is survived by one daughter, two sons, eleven grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 13, 2016, in the Yocum Pond Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services.
