Stanley Joe King, 68, of Springfield, MO, passed away March 2, 2015, following a short illness. Stanley was born September 17, 1946, to Burl and Edna King in Stella, MO. He attended school in Purdy, MO, where he graduated in 1964. On January 15, 1966, he married Linda Cochran in Pierce City, MO. He served in the U.S. Armed Forces and in Vietnam from 1966 to 1968. He worked for FRISCO and BNSF for 39 years retiring in 2007. He was preceded in death by his father, Burl King; and two children, Kimberly (King) Snook and Wes King. Stan is survived by his wife, Linda; one son, Phillip of Springfield, MO; three grandchildren; his mother, Edna King of Cassville, MO; one brother, Charles King of Springfield, MO, and two sisters, Janice Benson of Palm Springs, CA, and Linda McCaskill of Cassville, MO. Services for Stan will be announced at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services, Springfield.
