Sidney (Sid) Marvin Heistand Sr., 72, of Springfield, MO, passed away February 24, 2021. He was born September 18, 1948, to Jesse and Bertha Heistand, in Willow Springs, Mo. He honorably served in the Marines for his country during the Vietnam War. In 1981, he married the love of his life, Willa Gail Van Oster. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Willa Gail Heistand, children, Sidney (Heather) Heistand Jr., Jesse Heistand, April Heistand, Elvis (Amber) Heistand, and Amber (John) Heistand.   His grandchildren, Chantel, Autumn, Brandon, Destiny, Marrissa, Jesse John Jr, Zack, Waylynn, Nathaniel, Alexander, Zoey, Nataly, and one great-grandchild Mia. Sidney is also survived by his brothers, John, Gerald, Robert, and Larry, and sisters Mildred and JoAnn.

He will be forever missed and in our hearts. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jesse.

Private family services will be held the Missouri Veterans Cemetery with full Military Honors. Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services.
