Shirley Faye Overman, 84 of Ash Grove, MO, passed away May 10th, 2024. She was born June 17th, 1939, in Kansas City, Kansas, to William and Daisy Bessenbacher.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband, James Max Overman Sr. and brothers, Michael Bessenbacher, William Bessenbacher, Jr, Larry Bessenbacher.  She has one surviving brother, Joe Bessenbacher.

Shirley is survived by her daughters Susan Salem of Ash Grove, MO and Victoria Duffy of Newton, MA, as well as seven stepchildren: Sharon (Don) McCain of Florissant, MO, Judy (Brad) Sauerbry of Eureka Springs, AR, Barbara Jean Creel of Excelsior Springs, MO, Mary Beth Williams of Kansas City, MO, James Max Overman, Jr. (Leslie) of Liberty, MO, Melinda Lathim of Excelsior Springs, MO, and Shannon (Johnny) McKown of Smithville, MO, as well as twelve beloved grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Service.

Her final resting place will be alongside side her husband at Windy Hill Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, MO.
