Shirley Jean (Farmer) Arthur, 80, was born on February 22, 1938, and passed away November 5, at 3:53 am, in her home in Fairplay, MO. She had been sick for seven years but was able to stay in her home because her son took care of her.

Shirley was a loving wife and mother. She also enjoyed taking short trips around the area.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hal Arthur; parents, Gentry and Cora Farmer; several siblings; and in-laws, Isaac and Annie Arthur.

Shirley married Hal Arthur on November 26, 1960, and to this union two sons were born.

She is survived by her two sons, Doug Arthur of Mustang, OK and Bill Arthur of Fairplay, MO; and a host of family, fellow church members and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, November 17, 2018, in the Reed Cemetery, Halfway, MO.
