Obituary
Sherry Jean Pendergraft, age 69, of Springfield, MO, passed away September 5, 2020, at home and surrounded by her family. She was born August 21, 1951 to Gene and Mildred Brown in Wynne, Arkansas.
At a young age she moved to and was raised in Kansas City, Kansas. She had three children and later moved to Springfield, Missouri . While raising them, she also worked at a nursing home and attended Nursing School through SMSU (now MSU) and St. John's Hospital. She served as an RN at Mercy Hospital, formerly St. John's and retired after many years of dedicated service to her patients, staff, and fellow workers.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Brown; her father, Gene Brown; her sister, Debra Hernandez; and her sister, Georgetta Montalvo.
Sherry is survived by her husband, Greg Pendergraft; her children, Rhonda Bryant, Kimberly Tasset, and Ronald Blakey Jr; her grandchildren, Kevin Turner, Keisha Beezley, Kelsey Livingston, Juliette Cooper, Mekayla Tasset, and Jason Capler; and her siblings, Carol Ukenholz, Sandra Hernandez, Sheila Marron, and Johnny Mac Brown.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services, Springfield, MO.
