Shawna Ranae Joplin, 42, of Springfield, MO, passed away June 8, 2020. She was born June 26, 1977, in Springfield, MO, to Arnold Joplin and Sherry Widener.

Shawna always lived life to the fullest. She graduated from Willard High School and worked throughout her life to learn cosmetology. She loved getting together with family and friends, and was a great cook (not even joking- the best! Did you ever have her goulash or enchiladas?).  Her daughter, nieces, and nephews were her pride and joy. Shawna was always taking care of others and would help whenever she could. Her kind heart and infectious smile would light up any room. She loved the simple things in life- sunflowers, laughing, her animals, music, and fashion. She is incredibly missed and forever loved by many people.

She was preceded in death by her Uncle Roy, Uncle VonVon, Uncle Tut, Aunt Brenda, and grandparents.

Shawna is survived by her daughter, Kaitlynn Hankins; Dad and Step-Mom, Arnold and Vicki Joplin; Mother, Sherry Widener; her sisters, Abby Welch, Cassi Joplin, Libby Gann and Deanna Price; brothers, Eli and Billy Joplin; and three nieces, six nephews, Aunt Cindy, Uncle Jerry, Uncle Armond, Aunt Neva and many cousins and friends.

We can all honor Shawna and her memory by spreading joy and happiness. Hug those you love a little longer and more often, slow down and enjoy the little things, and don't be afraid to say I love you.
