Shawn Michael J Kirkbride, 48, of Springfield, MO passed away Sunday, June 22, 2025. He was born November 14, 1976, to Mark and Karen Kirkbride in Seattle, WA.

Shawn had a unique childhood. He traveled the world, living in several different countries and many states in the U.S. With his outgoing, friendly personality he was able to fit in wherever he went. He loved new experiences and sharing them with those he loved. Shawn loved all things technology. He loved teaching about and helping people with technology. He was also passionate about movies and video games, especially Zelda. In 2015 he married his wife Melissa, and became dad to Colton and Chloe. He also had two sons from a previous marriage, Jacob and Justin.

He was preceded in death by his father Mark Kirkbride and stepfather Patrick Barr.

Shawn is survived by his wife, Melissa Kirkbride, his children Jacob Kirkbride, Justin Kirkbride, Colton Lingle, and Chloe Lingle, his mother Karen Barr, stepmother Vivian Kirkbride, and stepsisters Jan Rice and Alia Shajara Bartlett. He also leaves behind many friends who loved him dearly, and who we consider part of our family.
