Obituary

Sharon E. Carpenter, age 70, of Brookline, Missouri passed away January 5, 2024. She was born Sharon Earlene Oberg on October 20, 1953, in St. Louis, Missouri.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, James and Earlene Oberg and brother, James Ray Oberg.

Sharon's proudest accomplishment was being a loving wife and mother. In addition to motherhood, Sharon also enjoyed a career at the USPS. She was proud to follow in her father's footsteps. While working for USPS, she met her husband, Roger Carpenter.

Roger and Sharon were married on February 18, 1973. Sharon loved her family unconditionally. She taught her children to be loving and kind and to worship Jehovah. Sharon was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in the 1970's.

Sharon enjoyed country living while being a city girl at heart. Sharon and Roger spent 30 years of their marriage in Willow Springs and Mountain View before retiring to the Springfield area. Sharon enjoyed hunting, camping, shopping, travel, but most of all spending time with family, friends and pets.

She is survived by the husband, Roger Carpenter; daughter, Sherry Allen and husband Wayne; daughter, Sheila Johnson and husband Joel; daughter, Traci Carpenter and son James Carpenter. Grandchildren include Madison, Ashley, and Trevor. She has three great grandchildren.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, MO.
