Scott Edwards

Michael "Scott" Edwards, 63, of Springfield, MO passed away at home on Friday, May 1, 2026. He was born July 22, 1962, to Jerry and Dee Ann Edwards. Most of his life was on a farm in Lawrence County where his passion for cattle began. His passion for farming was what shaped him into the person we will remember forever. His friendships were very important to him and several of the “locals” have all remained friends for all these years. He also was a builder by day, having done several homes and businesses for clients and friends.

Scott is survived by his wife, Tammy; daughters, D’Arcy and Delainey; parents, Jerry and Dee Ann; sister, Sara and husband Kevin; and nephews, Jace and Gage; father-in-law, Bill Brazeal; aunt, Tana; and a host of cousins and so many friends.

His health issues over the last 11 years had continued to decrease his abilities but his positive outlook remained and he would always say “It could be worse”. Thanks to the grateful and thoughtful care recently by Integrity Hospice (Joyce, Suzanna) and his favorite CNA (Samantha)

He did not want any formal services, and his ashes will be spread later. If you would like to honor his name, please make donations to the Miller High School FFA program.
