Obituary

Scott Andrew Crenshaw, 53, of Bolivar, MO, passed away January 13, 2021. He was born July 15, 1967, in St. Louis, MO, to Charlie and Peggy Crenshaw.

We are celebrating the life of Scott Crenshaw, our beloved Father, Brother, PawPaw, and Friend. He was a funny guy and loved to laugh and make people laugh. He loved his fishing, football, and NASCAR. He got to see his Chiefs win a superbowl before he left us and we were so excited about that. He drove a Semi Truck for about 30 years and knew everything there was to know about 18 wheelers.

Out of everything though, fishing was his passion. He always had the best fishing stories and caught the biggest fish. He always gave his children a hard time about catfishing with a rod and reel when they could have used a trot line. He would always say "let that line work for you!" His fondest moments were found being on the lake with his Father, Children, and Grandchildren. He had his first ice fishing experience in South Dakota with his best friend three years ago, which he would talk about often. Dad loved his movies and loved his kids watching them with him.

We will miss him dearly, and have confidence knowing that he is with Jesus! Dad went home peacefully, and exactly the way he wished. His favorite chapter that he would always share with is children is Psalm 23;

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Crenshaw and Peggy Gumm; and brother, Charlie Crenshaw Jr.

Scott is survived by his children, Tonya Crenshaw, Timothy Crenshaw, and Christopher Crenshaw and wife Victoria; grandchildren, Jordan and Amara Flores, Jeremiah Crenshaw and Zaiyden Crenshaw; siblings, Pam Overturf, Pam Berry, and Mark Crenshaw; and nephews, Jeffrey Crenshaw and Michael Crenshaw.

A celebration of life visitation will be held from 4:30-6:30 PM, Saturday, January 16, 2021, in the Countryside Assembly of God, Bolivar, MO. Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services, Springfield.
