Sandra "Dottie" Diane Shanks, 70, of Climax Springs, MO passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2026. She was born on July 20, 1955, to Harold and Anna Scheffler in Kennett, MO.

Dottie liked to be outside. She also enjoyed traveling and buying fun things that she saw while watching tv. Most of all, Dottie loved being a grandma and she treasured the time that she got to spend with her grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her son, Shawn Michael Lancaster; father, Harold Dale Scheffler; mother, Anna Jean (Scheffler) Crutchfield; and her brother, James Scheffler.

Dottie is survived by her sons, Chaz "Dale" Lancaster and his wife Mary and Kenneth Charles Lancaster; her grandkids, Bryar Lancaster, Joseph Lancaster, Katelynn Lancaster, Samantha Lancaster, Brock Lancaster, Brett Lancaster, Bethany Lancaster, Hunter Lancaster and Katy Lancaster; several great grandchildren; and her siblings, Regina Wilson, William Scheffler, Sabrina Womack, and Harold "Butch" Scheffler, Jr.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, MO.
