Samuel Lynn Uselton, 61, a resident of Springfield, MO passed away on Thursday, October 19th, 2023. He was born in Springfield, MO to William Uselton and Kay Scott (Stamp) on September 28, 1962.
Sam's life took him to many places including South Carolina, where he graduated from Batesburg/Leesville High School and met his first wife, Glenda Whitaker. Sam and Glenda had two children, Samuel Lynn Uselton Jr, and Racheal Michele Uselton. Sam worked and lived in the Colorado mountains as a seismographer before returning to Springfield and getting his Commercial Driver's License. Sam's lifelong dream was to be an over the road truck driver and during his career he drove over 3 million miles. Shortly after he became a truck driver, he met his second wife, Lorie Uselton (Brewer) and they had one daughter, Sarah (Tyler) Rae Hines (Uselton).
Sam eventually gave up the open road and worked for Wilson Logistics, a local trucking company, until his recent passing.
Throughout his life Sam had a passion for his family, cars, and trucks.
Sam was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and his sister-in-law, Melissa.
Sam is survived by his mother, Kay (Gary) Scott; a sister, Vicky (Tom) Hales; his children, Sammy, Michele, and Sarah; granddaughter, Amelia Uselton; Lorie Brewer who attended him lovingly throughout his cancer journey; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome to Jacob's Ladder Hospice House.
