Obituary

Sabino A. Munoz (Sam), beloved grandfather, father, husband, brother, and uncle, passed away on August 29th, 2024, in Battlefield, MO. Sam was born on August 5th, 1948, to Mary and Sam Munoz. He was raised up with his thirteen siblings in Aguilar, CO.

Sam proudly served in the United States Air Force in Vietnam from 1969 to 1971. After his service, Sam worked for the BNSF railroad for 35 years and was cherished by many of his friends. Sam met his wife Marcia in Colorado shortly after his time in the Air Force while she was babysitting his brother's children. They were happily married for 52 years and started their family in Denver, CO. Sam had five sons (Arlyn, Daniel, James, Matthew, and Nathaniel), five grandchildren (Mariah, Xavier, Roman, Octavia, and Cheyenne), and one great-grandchild (Xavier Jr.). No one who met Sam forgot his incredible passion and dedication to his family.

A memorial service to honor Sam's life will be held in Spring of 2025, in Colorado. Sam is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and all those who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit and memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
