Obituary
Russell Lee Koechner, 57, of Springfield, MO, passed away April 24, 2018. He was born October 30, 1960, in Springfield, MO.
Russ was a 1978 graduate of Fair Grove High School and then proudly served his country as a United States Army Ranger. He spent the last 30 years in the automotive industry. Russ was an honorable man who had a larger than life personality. He had a passion for serving the Lord, golfing, and snuggling his grandbabies.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Gay Koechner.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Gay Koechner.
Russ is survived by his children, Quincy Running and husband David, and Nick Koechner; granddaughters, Nora and Naomi Running; brother, Mike Koechner and wife Sharon all of Springfield.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM, Wednesday, May 2, at Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services, 2026 W. Woodland St, Springfield. Services will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, May 3, in the Grandview Baptist, 3208 N Barnes Ave, Springfield, burial to follow at 2 PM in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery with full Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to his daughter, Quincy Running, to assist with funeral expenses.
