B R OW N I I I , R OY L . Wednesday, February 15, 2023. Beloved husband of Linda (nee Myers) Brown; loving father of Mark (Mihaela) Brown, stepfather of Michael Lipscomb and Carrie (Joe) Brockhaus. Dearest grandfather of Chase and Liam Brown, Wilson Lipscomb, Grace Brockhaus and Madeline Brockhaus. Son of the late Roy L Brown II and Lo is E (nee Wolfe), brother of the late Linda Carpenter, and Wendy Brown. Lifetime friend and brother by choice of Ted Henk. Protector of all he loved, and friend to so many others.
Roy was born June 26, 1948, in Niskayuna, New York. He loved the outdoors and worked on a farm. After High School, he served in the Army, First Calvary Division obtaining the rank of Sergeant.
Roy's love of the outdoors continued throughout his life, and he enjoyed hunting, hiking and fishing.
His career followed several paths, and eventually retired from Br en nt ag where he was the Chlorine Supervisor and member of the Hazardous
Response Team.
Hobbies Roy was an avid woodworker, building many wonderful pieces of furniture that will last generations. He loved working in his wood shop ,
loved to barbecue and was an amazing cook.
Roy touched the lives of many people throughout his journey here and will be sorely missed.
Roy ' s celebration of life will be at the family residence on Saturday, March 25th from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to
Disabled American Veterans.
