Ross O'Dell Carey Jr., 75, of Bolivar, MO, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2024. He was born November 10, 1948, in Kansas City, MO, to Ross and Alberta.

Ross was a proud Vietnam Veteran. He enjoyed visiting Branson for his birthday which was also right before Veterans Day. He liked to see all of the flags and businesses decorated out of respect for the men and women that had served their country. Ross liked to spend time outdoors fishing and hunting, but he also enjoyed sitting in his chair watching his favorite television shows. No matter what he was doing he did it in good company with his puppy, Bella. He thoroughly enjoyed life and spending time with his family. Ross was a true family man and encouraged them to live life to the fullest.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Carey; his parents; and siblings, Priscilla Weaver and Stevie Barancik.

Ross is survived by his daughter, Pam Bell; son, Bradly Carey and wife Rachel; grandchildren, Haley Sheffer and husband Michael, Richard Chambers III, Morgan Hall and husband Jeremy; great-grandchildren, Charlie and Henry Sheffer, and Colton Chambers; siblings, Gloria Eggelston, Jeanette Fizer and husband Bruce, Darryl Barancik; bonus-children, Karen Tuzzolino and husband Mark; Kristy Bledsoe and husband Lee; and Nathan Davis and wife Lindsey and their families.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, MO.
