Ronnie Ray Dunn Sr, 70 of Springfield, MO, passed away May 9, 2019 surrounded by his family. He was born May 30, 1948, in Springfield, MO, to Raymond and Wilma Dunn. Ronnie graduated from Central High School. He was a retired auto mechanic and business owner. Ronnie spent many years fixing and repairing the old Buicks that he loved. He also was a member of the Springfield Vintage Motor Club.
Ronnie cherished Route 66. His home in Springfield, was actually on part of the original road. So, Ronnie lived and died on Route 66. He enjoyed fishing, Jeepin', and being a jokester. Ronnie had a huge love for collecting die cast cars and Hot Wheels. He also had a lifelong love of family and especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Ron Sr is survived by his three children, Ronnie Dunn Jr and wife Debbie, Teresa Wilson and husband Jim, and Debbie Vessey and partner Homer Thompson; 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Jim Dunn and wife Sheryll; first wife, Lena Mullins; second wife, Deborah Sved; his precious dog, Rio; and many car club friends.
A celebration of Ronnie's life will be held at 10 AM, Tuesday, May 14, 2019, in the Chapel at Elifindale, 1701 S Fort Ave, Springfield, MO 65807.
